I have read a few books on how a Course in Miracles came about. Authors seem to say that the Course teaches that God did not create the physical universe. I am not convinced of their interpretation and wish they would include an explanation of how then the physical universe did come into being. Kenneth Wapnick writes that God did not create this world and there is nothing of Him that is in this world. If he wrote that he is talking about the ego world I would understand. However, love is alive in our world, we see it every day. What is not created by the ego is created by love and love is all around. When we see a tiger caring for its cubs, a whale leaping out of the sea in pure joy, mountains, trees, waterfalls and the sea, people caring and forgiving each other, parents loving their children etc, etc. The world is alive with love/God. The more I transcend the world of the ego all I see is God. Surely this is what ACIM is trying to show us when it talks about lifting the veil or crossing the bridge into the Real World. Teilhard de Chardin once wrote "Let us not doubt it, and let us awaken to that light the world is full of God. For if it were empty the world would long ago have died of disgust." I understand that you want to talk about the public concern. I would like to know, other than Whistle Blower Aid, what is the best way to voice your overwhelming concern for our country, it’s citizens and the world. People have an idea of what is going on, but, they don’t know severity. I also have talked about the American Public going to the ocean, a mountain top or a hill on Oct.5 2022. It is a day of fasting and repentance, but it could also be thought of as, “The Birth of Hope”. This was a Rabbi’s way of thinking of it in a non-religious way. I know, it is imperative, that we pray for The Woke and Cancel Culture Movements, but, more importantly the entire government of the United States. We of course want peace for the entire world. I think it’s helpful that a federal judge recently denied Pfizer the option of waiting 50 years + to reveal how they got their apparent “approval” as they had planned. Doesn’t really make any difference to me either. Lots of drugs are approved and withdrawn. I just hope and pray we all remain healthy, happy and whole. 🙏🏽❤️

I agree with you on every point. The insane thinking that leads people to attack the unexperimented on is beyond me. I’m also not for or against taking the experimental jab but I am for sovereignty, informed consent, the Nuremberg code and basic common sense. Here in the UK people think the actual government data is a conspiracy because it is at complete odds with what politicians and journalists are saying publicly. It is interesting to watch.

Gene therapy is a bugaboo scare word. See article below. Thousands of scientists have been working on hundreds of infectious disease vaccine trial (and cancer applications, "immunotherapy") for almost 50 years. Not new, not scary, simply as we are now learning do not provide long-lasting protection, oh wait, maybe they do except the virus is mutating faster than we can protect ourselves simply because 1/2 the population think they know more than thousands of scientists.

Great piece on transforming Capitalism. I am in agreement with all of the sentiments, yet there is a critical factor missing from the strategies of Bernie, Stephanie, Prof Wolf et al - all of whom I revere.
Let's say we successfully roll out our strategies: our government starts working for the people, worker-owned companies become the norm, wages go up etc. Unfortunately, as we’ve seen in the past everytime wages increase or when we manage to get more money into the hands of average Americans as with the CARES Act, the people controlling vital resources and services simply raise prices accordingly, and all of those gains are eventually for naught.
This ongoing dynamic of politicians and problem solvers focusing solely on the left side of the "Wages < Costs of Living" equation, while completely ignoring the right side, not only renders our strategies ultimately as failed but sets off a whole web of negative effects.
For instance, by failing to effectively address our constantly inflating and hyperinflating land & housing system, we end up damaging the environment. How? As costs of living inflate, employers must pay employees higher wages (even the multitude of companies who don’t fall into the greedy, global corporatist category.) This drives up production costs, making it harder and harder to compete with producers in other countries. We then become more reliant on imports. So instead of producing goods domestically and transporting them shorter distances via efficient rail, these goods come to us from across the vast Pacific via inefficient ships - a huge and unnecessary burden to the environment.
Not dealing with the right side of the equation means parents must spend more and more hours working, leaving less and less time to spend with their children.
Not dealing with the right side of the equation destroys the ethos of our country as those with the means are able to make money not from producing or putting time and energy into providing real, legitimate services but by simply taking advantage of inflation and the inflationary effects of supply and demand. Meanwhile those who are putting time and energy into actually producing real goods and providing real services are forced to work the extra hours inherently required to pay the profits of the former group as they profiteer from inflation. As you say in the podcast, these hard-working people who continue to be economically oppressed despite their real and meaningful contributions become much more prone to fascist rhetoric.
By not dealing with the right side of the equation labor moves from necessity to luxury, taking the manpower needed to fix our most pressing problems with it.
In Parts I & II of your podcast, I believe housing was mentioned four times, but not explored. The web of negative effects from failing to address our dysfunctional land & housing system is huge. As housing is the biggest monthly financial nut to crack for the largest number of people, how could it not be? Yet our politicians, pundits, economists, the Fed, etc. constantly ignore or severely downplay the impacts our dysfunctional land & housing system has on society and the average American’s personal economy.
It is impossible to successfully address wealth inequality without concurrently effectively addressing our dysfunctional, inequitable land & housing system, which itself can't be done without examining the system holistically and identifying and effectively addressing its deepest, systemic roots.
Again, successfully implementing all of the strategies you've laid out for transforming Capitalism will be for naught if we don't concurrently effectively address the underlying systems that enable those controlling necessities such as land & housing to use the leverage of those necessities to extract the fruits of the labors from those putting time and energy into producing real goods and providing real, legitimate services. Instead of the Return to Love we were hoping for, it would in short order be the Return to Not 'Nuff we thought we'd be escaping.
So Marianne, do you have a plan to effectively address constantly inflating and hyperinflating costs of living? If so what is it?...I'll show you my plans if you'll show me yours!!
Housing is a deep concern and does need to be dealt with in a holistic approach. In the town where I live,we are starting to implement a plan that takes into consideration emergency housing, transitional housing, and affordable permanent housing too; plus, collaborating on intersectional matters that feed into housing issues, like health care for those with behavioral problems or addictions. Indeed, research shows that when people think they have a safe place to call 'home', well, then they find it easier to resolve other matters threatening their well being such as health problems, work, and education or training too. Plus, overcoming the NIMBY problem is key to success: the (not in my backyard) syndrome associated with providing housing for the those with very low or modest incomes. Let's see if Marianne can address any of this during the short time frame of her Zoom call. It's a big topic unto itself! Glad you mentioned it!

Hmm--only part of so-called 'mainstream' society is committed to turning things around, based I what I know and have experienced, while many wish to go backward. I live in rural America now, and the following idea is almost a mantra: White men ruling over everyone, including their wives and children, etc. And the fear of 'other' is huge--those of different ethnic origins, race, sexual orientation, or whatever. Please note how Europeans have reacted to immigrants seeking refuge over the past few years too--sad.
'We are one', no matter what anyone may think, but we may look different to each other or carry other views about religion, etc. In the final analysis, that doesn't even matter since we are all perfect children in the eyes of The Great Spirit or however you wish to describe God. We are wasting our lives separating ourselves from one another when we need to be uniting together to save Earth--not 'earth' the ground we stand on but Earth the planet that enables us to live!

The plan is for a peaceful protest against forcing the vaccine and the threat of losing jobs if they don't comply. I’m also not for or against taking the experimental jab but I am for sovereignty, informed consent, the Nuremberg code and basic common sense. Here in the UK people think the actual government data is a conspiracy because it is at complete odds with what politicians and journalists are saying publicly. It is interesting to watch.

Gene therapy is a bugaboo scare word. See article below. Thousands of scientists have been working on hundreds of infectious disease vaccine trial (and cancer applications, "immunotherapy") for almost 50 years. Not new, not scary, simply as we are now learning do not provide long-lasting protection, oh wait, maybe they do except the virus is mutating faster than we can protect ourselves simply because 1/2 the population think they know more than thousands of scientists.

Thanks for all you do and have done over the decades.
Great piece on transforming Capitalism. I am in agreement with all of the sentiments, yet there is a critical factor missing from the strategies of Bernie, Stephanie, Prof Wolf et al - all of whom I revere.
Let's say we successfully roll out our strategies: our government starts working for the people, worker-owned companies become the norm, wages go up etc. Unfortunately, as we’ve seen in the past everytime wages increase or when we manage to get more money into the hands of average Americans as with the CARES Act, the people controlling vital resources and services simply raise prices accordingly, and all of those gains are eventually for naught.
This ongoing dynamic of politicians and problem solvers focusing solely on the left side of the "Wages < Costs of Living" equation, while completely ignoring the right side, not only renders our strategies ultimately as failed but sets off a whole web of negative effects.
For instance, by failing to effectively address our constantly inflating and hyperinflating land & housing system, we end up damaging the environment. How? As costs of living inflate, employers must pay employees higher wages (even the multitude of companies who don’t fall into the greedy, global corporatist category.) This drives up production costs, making it harder and harder to compete with producers in other countries. We then become more reliant on imports. So instead of producing goods domestically and transporting them shorter distances via efficient rail, these goods come to us from across the vast Pacific via inefficient ships - a huge and unnecessary burden to the environment.
Not dealing with the right side of the equation means parents must spend more and more hours working, leaving less and less time to spend with their children.
Not dealing with the right side of the equation destroys the ethos of our country as those with the means are able to make money not from producing or putting time and energy into providing real, legitimate services but by simply taking advantage of inflation and the inflationary effects of supply and demand. Meanwhile those who are putting time and energy into actually producing real goods and providing real services are forced to work the extra hours inherently required to pay the profits of the former group as they profiteer from inflation. As you say in the podcast, these hard-working people who continue to be economically oppressed despite their real and meaningful contributions become much more prone to fascist rhetoric.
By not dealing with the right side of the equation labor moves from necessity to luxury, taking the manpower needed to fix our most pressing problems with it.
In Parts I & II of your podcast, I believe housing was mentioned four times, but not explored. The web of negative effects from failing to address our dysfunctional land & housing system is huge. As housing is the biggest monthly financial nut to crack for the largest number of people, how could it not be? Yet our politicians, pundits, economists, the Fed, etc. constantly ignore or severely downplay the impacts our dysfunctional land & housing system has on society and the average American’s personal economy.
It is impossible to successfully address wealth inequality without concurrently effectively addressing our dysfunctional, inequitable land & housing system, which itself can't be done without examining the system holistically and identifying and effectively addressing its deepest, systemic roots.
Again, successfully implementing all of the strategies you've laid out for transforming Capitalism will be for naught if we don't concurrently effectively address the underlying systems that enable those controlling necessities such as land & housing to use the leverage of those necessities to extract the fruits of the labors from those putting time and energy into producing real goods and providing real, legitimate services. Instead of the Return to Love we were hoping for, it would in short order be the Return to Not 'Nuff we thought we'd be escaping.
So Marianne, do you have a plan to effectively address constantly inflating and hyperinflating costs of living? If so what is it?...I'll show you my plans if you'll show me yours!!

Housing is a deep concern and does need to be dealt with in a holistic approach. In the town where I live,we are starting to implement a plan that takes into consideration emergency housing, transitional housing, and affordable permanent housing too; plus, collaborating on intersectional matters that feed into housing issues, like health care for those with behavioral problems or addictions. Indeed, research shows that when people think they have a safe place to call 'home', well, then they find it easier to resolve other matters threatening their well being such as health problems, work, and education or training too. Plus, overcoming the NIMBY problem is key to success: the (not in my backyard) syndrome associated with providing housing for the those with very low or modest incomes. Let's see if Marianne can address any of this during the short time frame of her Zoom call. It's a big topic unto itself! Glad you mentioned it!

I have applied Feldenkrais’ insights into the neurology of improving brain functioning to psychotherapy, developing creative thinking skills, and now to large-scale transformative social change. I suggest that we need a new kind of evolutionary social change movement based on helping people move from silo thinking to systems thinking, and also on giving people tools resolve their own emotional issues (as well as better child rearing, etc.)

Hmm--only part of so-called 'mainstream' society is committed to turning things around, based I what I know and have experienced, while many wish to go backward. I live in rural America now, and the following idea is almost a mantra: White men ruling over everyone, including their wives and children, etc. And the fear of 'other' is huge--those of different ethnic origins, race, sexual orientation, or whatever. Please note how Europeans have reacted to immigrants seeking refuge over the past few years too--sad.
'We are one', no matter what anyone may think, but we may look different to each other or carry other views about religion, etc. In the final analysis, that doesn't even matter since we are all perfect children in the eyes of The Great Spirit or however you wish to describe God. We are wasting our lives separating ourselves from one another when we need to be uniting together to save Earth--not 'earth' the ground we stand on but Earth the planet that enables us to live!
Hi Marianne, thank you for all that you do. In Canada we have a truckers Freedom Convoy travelling from BC all the way across to Ottawa. The plan is for a peaceful protest against forcing the vaccine and the threat of losing jobs if they don't comply. Can you talk about what is happening all over the world with this seemingly unreasonable pressure for vaccination when we are hearing they are not safe and effective as they promised. I think of it as a spiritual war against humanity. Dark forces having taken over our world governments. Thank you. Much love!
