Your words continually amaze me. The depth, your perception of the world is so spot on. I know… we need to act not just speak. I just wanted to tell you! 💕🙏

Thank you Marianne. This genuinely resonates. Even spiritual teacher Byron Katie says that if she were hurting someone, others should stop her, that it would be the kind thing to do.

My Goodness, these words struck to my very heart and I will be re reading again to help anchor them. Hope your voice is improving. Remember, thyme (the herb) steeped in boiled water in a cup for a few minutes, is very soothing and anti viral and other great things, but particularly good for throat, larynx and lungs. 2 -3 cups a day.

Marianne, I want you and all your readers to know how grateful I am to you for your wise counsel. This past April, you listened to my tale of woe, during the seminar you taught via the Sophia Institute You encouraged me to leave the small Midwestern river town where I live, if I wasn't finding meaning and purpose, based on my background--once the pandemic subsides. Well, we are still in the throes of the Delta variant, and I haven't moved but here's what's happened!

I've been listening to your ACIM every morning since January 1, and it's been immensely helpful! The personal stories you weave, aligned with the workbook text, have enabled me to start transforming my negative sitution into a very positive one by "looking at life differently," as you always stress. And it works! Here's my proof: I am getting community leaders to come together to declare "a climate emergency" for starters; then, I am advocating the city's development of a plan to help the homeless includes city-endorsed policies that support a thriving, healthy environment applicable to all building construction. So this means any new, affordable housing, transition housing, or rennovation as well as shelters must be energy efficient to reduce green house gas emissions; plus, use 'green' materials and practices too!

Marianne, I now walk into every situation aligning myself with our Great Creator, and focus on love--no judgment or criticism even needed! And it works!

So anyone reading Marianne's piece herein, please know I am an example of seeing how the consciousness of love (creative positivity) produces the difference: It's a force from a higher place that helps manifest collaboration and healing too. I encourage everyone to give it a try under all circumstances and learn how your life can change as well as the external situation around you!

I'm so happy for you Joan. I always appreciate your thoughtful comments.

Jesus once said that we would always have the poor with us and was encouraging a disciple to appreciate the value of a seemingly extravagant gesture of using costly fragrance oil to anoint him. That bothered me for some time because it seemed pessimistic and powerless to adopt such an outlook. But when you've met Jesus you know He is always speaking from Eternal Truth . So I began to look deeper and realised that the worse poverty is not at all in external conditions but in deep spiritual ones.

Jesus meant for us to clothe the naked not just by giving garments to wear on a body but to alleviate things like shame and guilt. He taught that feeding the human hunger is more than handing out sandwiches, it is to feed the sustenance of hope and love.

I've done some tangible hands on giving such as you describe and taught my daughters to do so as well. But it has not felt good in the long run. In fact it turned out to be an exercise in futility. It seemed the more we gave, the more there were people in need.

But every time I have prevented a suicide, or secretly helped someone come to self acceptance, or dismissed an accusation against others, these works feed both them and me. It is absolutely addictive to feed the hungry soul. And this work enriches both the givers and the receivers. The supply for such giving is inexhaustible and requires no government intervention.

Love exists. We all have access to it. It is pure food for all. Love is the answer and it must be our goal.

Sent sincerely, inspired by love.

Combined with this morning's daily meditation, you have shared many words and ideas. I'm doing my darndest to stay caught up.

I hear you.

Earlier I came across the word coalesce. When might that happen around the ideas you share? I also follow Charles Eisenstein, who has been building a community on the Mighty Networks platform. Coalescing is happening there.

Do we need a new political party? A new organization?

We need new. What is it's genesis?

Hi Bill, I had a look at Charles Eisenstein's website and saw a photo of him plus read what he says about himself. I always look at peoples eyes very carefully, as the windows of the soul. Charles has a deep, calm and loving gaze. Thank you for sharing his name, I will explore his ideas further.

I saw Condoleeza Rice on “The View” and had the same reaction. Being black, or female, or lgbtq, or progressive doesn’t automatically confer anything!

If we’re not part of solutions, we are huge sustainers of the problems.

Marianne Williamson has written an essay for the ages! Brava! Let’s Share widely!

Faith is visionary.

You describe the current situation beautifully -almost poetically. How I would love to hear your thoughts describing the ideal, the vision, the goal. We so need to join in a united vision. Like the hands you describe, we can meet in synchronous action naturally when we have a clear internal vision. All of One mind and heart is what harmony is. Let's define that heart.

Truth already exists and we all know it. Each one practicing the stillness that allows Truth to rule, would bring us a gentle, easy course correction because Truth expressed itself naturally from within. Leaders call it forth from us and prepare us, like Martin Luther King, for a mighty flow of inspired, easy, natural, intelligent action.

Perfection is a default condition. We need an expectation of its flow. Of one breath and one desire. I think we are already here. The unrest is the best indication of how much we care. Now where do we go from here?

Iris, I love what you have written and I practice meditation. It is time for a vision for the whole planet. The unloving few have their vision of Elyssium for themselves and to hell with the rest of us. We need to know that this is not about nation versus nation, religion versus religion or left wing versus right wing. This is about the collective energy of we human beings living on planet Earth as One People, on One Planet, under One Power of Wise Love. It's about us standing in our Oneness with the Source of Life as All Love and Wisdom and Power. No boundaries must divide us. Divide and conquer are the tools of error, greed and darkness. Unite in fraternal love with all is the answer.

Luise, I love this thought. It is where I stand as well. The good news is that it only takes a handful to make a huge shift. Enough have glimpsed this truth you are speaking that the work of the dedicated few can lift us. I too am a practitioner of stillness. I am dedicated exclusively to this practice as it is so rewarding and easy and enlivening. We the few recognize each other and can hear the same voice of Love in each other's proximity. Namaste dear Luise. So glad to meet you here.

Hi Marianne, I loved today's post. It's extremely insightful and that is what we need most today. I agree with you that we are being asked to wake up, wise up, and rise up to greater awareness and understanding. In an attempt to add further insight to this discussion, I majorly updated a post I wrote last year for my Story Room. The title is: Religion's Role in Shaping Human Behavior. Yes, it's time for us to look behind the veil of fear and earthbound thinking. Cheers!

As a New Yorker who now lives in Mexico and lived previously in Indonesia, I am curious to know what we can do to include more countries - regardless of their political system - in this conversation. I agree the political intelligentsia currently in power who is hell bent on driving us into another "Cold War" needs to step aside and engage with billions in China, Russia and other autocracies. Perhaps it's necessary for all of humanity to see the world as the indigenous Kogi in Colombia do - as one unified body - knowing that if we cut off one limb, the whole system suffers.

Erick, I totally agree with the indigenous view. I think the ultimate nightmare of our climate emergency will finally be the turning point, whereby people will realize we are all together on one ship, called Mother Earth. And we cannot be so conflicted as to capsize!

Can we please include the planet and not just one country in this..
