I agree completely with what you say here, and also see the signs of what you describe as the "Awakening Giant". And "we the people" are the ones who have to amplify this perception. Yeah, Marianne! Indeed, when things get tough (and they are), well, the tough get going! Eisenhower and you are correct: "Let's go!" As a child, I adored Ike, that's what we called him at home. And one of the proudest possessions I own is a personal letter from him to me that he actually signed without an auto-pen in those days in response to a prayer I had sent to him at age 12.
Marianne, your heartfelt words brought tears into my eyes/stirred my heart. I will mightily strive to help you break through the complacency among many, many Americans so we can truly achieve the healing of repair that you talk about! Having a "new beginning," as you describe it, is the only way out of the suffering trenches that have manifested in America since my teenage years. Thank you for your powerful words of Truth. I have never followed politics and at 68 years I have only voted twice in my life. I believe ALL politicians to be chosen by wealthy organizations for profit and the people are thrown a few crumbs to quiet them and have no voice. Even a arrogant, egotistical and hate fueled psychopath with a lot of manipulation skills and no ability whatsoever to communicate one minuscule of truth to save his sole, but had enough money to buy the presidency and he bought and barged his way into the White House.
Not a father or leader I would want anywhere near my children.
Not a person that has ever experienced humility( an essential component of Truth).
But a Fearful and Hateful and manipulative Bully that led the country into Fear, Hate, Anger, Division, Poverty( Physically and Spiritually) and called forward every negative dark force, like a witch conjuring a spell, to rise up with their guns against Integrity, truth, sanity, intelligence, neighborly love and peace and the very right for a peaceful existence.
This is a Spiritual battle that is drawing out all the Haters and fearfully led people in plain sight,( the walking dead ). This is a spiritual civil war. Now is the time to seriously seek the Love inside and apply our hearts to wisdom. Now is the time to understand our own fearfulness within and say yes to Love. Now is the time to rely on our voice within and listen to that voice within, that has given us all a glimpse of Love in our lifetime, so that we can truly know ourselves in Love.
LOVE is always the answer.
You are a powerful voice of Love. You are an intelligent woman filled with Truth. You are focused on a bigger picture that can bring light into the darkness and greed that weighted down our hearts and burdened our thoughts with distrust and disbelief in a country who has far too long dragged us through the waste products of their greed for money and power. We the people have been abandoned by our own government. We have been neglected held hostage by corporate America and all of its smokescreens.
Now is the time to open our hearts and choose Love. It’s time to love ourselves enough to stand up for truth.

No one else addresses the core issues with the clear articulation, eloquence, insight and resolve like you Marianne! I hope Pres. Biden has the courage to debate you because the country NEEDS to see and hear what you have to say...these issues need to be brought into consciousness through a wider platform. All the candidates , red and blue, and especially the corporate culprits need to see how many Americans are conscious of these injustices and consequential issues and care deeply about them!
Suggestion: Propose to reduce the deficit by cutting spending and increasing taxes by the same proportion (but reversed) that they have changed since the last balanced budget in 2001. Then propose that taxes result in high-income reduction and government spending (for the people) increases so that productivity increases, since 1980, are shared equally by the 1% and the rest. This will be fulfilling the role of government in accordance with the principles of the Declaration Of Independence.
We are indeed awakening. And our corporate overlords are doing their best to prevent our awakening. They think they can stop life's constant evolution. They can't...
A mass psychosis has all of us in its grip. This is a normal indication of a civilization's 'time of troubles.' We can react in one of two ways: own it and channel it into controlled destruction followed by reconstruction, or denial which can only lead to failure.
