A deeply moving message that encourages us to open our hearts to our brothers and sisters, as an antidote to the divide and conquer manipulation of the rulers of our world.

Thank you for stating this complex issue so simply and plainly. The rise of neo-fascism in the USA… and throughout the West… is deeply troubling… and way too many people don’t understand the danger of nationalistic rhetoric, which they confuse with patriotism. The more this continues, the easier it becomes for people to “demonize” the “other,” at which point acts of inhumanity actually seem justifiable to those with a tribal mentality. I thought we had evolved past this, but we have a long way to go and a lot of work to do.

This is the perfect time to watch Ken Burns's PBS series on America and the Holocaust. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. :-(

A brilliant illumination irrespective of any disagreements regarding divinity. Thank you.

"Regardless of our tribal or religious identity..." and listening to Dr. King's words about the threat of injustice, I agree that "Educating ourselves about racism and bigotry - wherever it exists - is important, and standing up to hate wherever we see or hear it, is important." Marianne's perspective is drawing us to action...respect and honor people of all cultures. Get to know people that are different than yourself.

Thank you for this ... I'm not Jewish so much of what you say is either new to me or I understand it intellectually ... but certainly not viscerally ... It seems like all the major religeons are asking us ... if nothing else ... to do one thing ... to Love Each Other!

Thank you for that, Dear Marianne many people need to be more informed and to open their minds and hearts. To think we are in 2022 and still experiencing these injustices is truly sad and quite troubling. Let's all do our part to enlighten others and shift consciousness.

Thank you Marianne. Wishing you and yours (and all of us on this one planet) a Shana Tova uMetukah — a year in which goodness and deep sweetness permeate and tip the scales toward righteousness and mercy, through our deeds and our words. Bimheyra vYameynu — speedily and in our days, may we hear the call and sound the alarm that awakens one and all to the choice before us. And may we choose Life.

Very deep and moving

Missing is our leaders politicians need to stand up and speak out and denounce it when it happens and say it will not be tolerated and antisemites will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

A jewish man and rabbi got nearly beaten to death just walking in downtown New York by 6 men yelling die Jew die!

We don't hear politicians speaking out firm against it

Personally the minute swastikas or graffiiti of such happens, all protests should be shut down by enforcement.

We have become so complacent with consequence of crime, evil & hate are taking over and people yell defund the police. It is truly insane

And you can t expect the Jewish community to speak out loud and put their lives or that of their families at risk.

We need far tougher laws on this. And if found as a member of a hate group, I might exile them and remove them from the US.

Dr Phil did a show on this and said antisemitism has risen 57% in the las 4 years. 57% !!!!

So much more needs to be done

Apathy silence and soft laws will allow evil and darkness to become too strong. Hopefully that tipping point has not happened.

Marrianne: May you enjoy your holidays over the next several days. Rituals have become all too scarce in this contemporary rat-race existence.

That said, the term "antisemitism" is confusing and somewhat misleading. Please consider checking out the Khazaria.com site to discover that the vast majority of Yiddish-speaking offspring of the large migration of Jews from the Pale of Settlement happen to have little or no ancient Hebrew DNA.

Thus, a much more apropos term to describe those misinformed, knuckledragging Jew haters, would be Judeophobia. In a sense it would be similar to the term homophobia.

"Phobia", originally a Hellenic term, signifies fear. Hatred and prejudice is not the opposite of love. The true opposite and the enabling precondition for those negative attitudes is FEAR. So even if the highest Sanhedrin opposes it, Jews of good conscience should consider using the term Judeophobia.
