Hanukkah is the Festival of Lights, a time Jews are reminded that God’s light is provided even in times of greatest darkness. Christmas is similarly a celebration of God’s light. The Star of Bethlehem is present in our hearts, beckoning us to follow it towards a new way of living in the world.
thank you, and god bless, dear marianne; for when you put out in this public square your own vulnerability & humanity & the desire/quest to remember & remind yourself (and me) of our greater purpose, of who we can be, you cause me hope & give me light, too ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
-Being a “believer” in Jesus of itself means little, while being a “disciple” of Jesus is infinitely transformative. ❤️
Marianne, your spot on with your words. Just imagine how glorious life on Earth could be if our collective global family forged their will to truly love and turn from fear of the other and self. We can have heaven on our planet! Wishing you and all on this substack renewed spirit for the days to follow.
Yes ... every day ... every hour ... and every minute ... It's not always easy ... but it is possible to choose light over darkness ... Love over Fear ... As Marianne says, if you spend 5 minutes with the Holy Sprit in the morning ... you'll be insured that the Holy Sprit will be with you through out your day... "God's Light is the only power great enough to overcome the darkness of the world" ... Wonderful Writing ... Thank You!
Your words, as always, reach a very gentle and tender place. I feel that light and from the light I pray that we will all find our way home. One prayer at a time, one moment of love instead of hate, may we all awaken to our God. Your writings remind me of the quote from St. Francis of Assisi, " All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle" Much love and many thanks. Bless you beautiful Marianne.
The truth sets us free, thank you Marianne. As you create a sacred space for people, we come to the sacred space within. Here we find our union with All. We find we are all beings of Light. In this union, this oneness, even this interbeing, we have the power to overcome all attempts to create separation. May we go beyond our individual differences and see our oneness with Source, each other and our own whole spirit.Happy Holy Days All
Marianne this is so awesome! You shine the light in a dark time for us to follow. Thank you. You’re a blessing for us all. 💞
Marianne as always is a reflection of God's light this time of year. "Oh night divine, Oh holy night"
The Gospels about the life of Jesus showed me a human being that wasn't afraid of Love. To be kind and helpful to men, women and children, to protect and be there for someone in difficult times, to talk to people with a lot or with very little, young and old, and to stand strong and faithful to the most high God.
Unfortunately, so many people are rightfully turned off by an appeal to Jesus. More often than not "Christians" today come to devastating conclusions on "right" and "wrong" resting on their "Jesus-given self-righteousness. It's blinding, intellectually and morally stultifying. Marx was right when he said, "Religion is the opium of the people." And Leonard Cohen predicted decades ago that we would lose all moral sense in the near future.
"Things are going to slide, slide in all directions
Won't be nothing
Nothing you can measure anymore...
I believe deeply in my heart that Marianne Williamson can lead us as US President, and I want her to go viral very soon. Will be instructive to see how Marianne handles the great challenges ahead, but I know she'll have the best guidance.
Thank you for the gentle reminder.
Beautiful! Wonderful! Thank You. Happy Holidays to One & All!
May you all have a joy filled season.
