MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY
On Emily Jashinsky's Undercurrents Podcast and Fox News
Post-game analyses are coming in from everywhere since the election, and here are a couple of mine.
This week has been a tough one for a lot of us; a glorious celebration for others. America is in the middle of a wake-up call, and nothing will ever be quite the same.
It says in the Bible (in connection with that Sodom and Gomora thing) that the city will be saved if there are only ten good men. If the "other" side had won the election, there would still be a big problem with almost half of the population thinking that fear and hate would save us, and we would go on fighting each other. Instead, the side lost that is MORE practiced at going within and praying for a solution and a miracle that will save us all. We need to recover the other side, not defeat them. WE are better at recovery than they are, and we are chosen to do so for all of humanity. The side won that will most benefit both sides. I am excited about the prospects for the future and I AM filled with love and joy and excitement about the future, filled with love, instead of victory that implies losers.
Marianne’s comments are right on … The Democratic Party shot itself in the foot when they didn’t allow a Democratic Primary … They lost their way when they made fund raising more important than the content of their message … They need to go back to their roots … to make the needs of Ordinary Americans the focus of their message … Otherwise … they will simply become irrelevant.
