After going yearly to Brazil for over 20 years I feel it is my second home. Congratulations to our Brazilian brothers and sisters. The fact that this has happened there should give everyone hope here for Nov. 8th. It is time for love, decency, respect and empathy to swing back into the public discourse. So goes Brazil, so goes US....Thanks, MW for being on top of this.

The Brazil win gives me hope for a blue tsunami here in the US! May democracy prevail!

I concur with Marianne's "pray without ceasing" and vote too! The Dalai Lama has said prayer is good but action is even better! We cannot sit this one out. And we must remain strong and unintimidated by talks of violence that can be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Let's not let it happen so we can quickly end the culture wars. Peace to all!

If you desire to be honest you can see the projection coming from both sides. I just didn’t see it coming from Marianne.

And if you are after the truth then be willing to tell the whole and present truth.

And right now the truth is the Republicans are not the party making everything about race and undermining the wisdom of Martin Luther King Jr. They are not the party undermining free speech and working with social media to censor anyone who disagrees with the dominant narrative under the guise of misinformation. They are not the party that has mandated an almost ineffective “vaccine,” while ignoring all those that have been harmed and now adding it the the childhood vaccine protocol despite the science that says, children don’t need it! They are not the party pushing the Tennant’s of CRT in schools under different names that in many cases dubs white students “oppressors” and black students “victims.” They are not the party that is pushing for the sexualization of children as young as 5 in schools, while focusing more on social justice, sex and gender rather than on true academics. They are not the party resorting to canceling people and labeling anyone who disagrees as racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic ETC. rather than agreeing to debate them. They are not the party that is actively laying our children at the alter of Big Pharma with all this transgender stuff to the point where children are being told to lie to their parents, being provided changing closets at school and being encouraged to take puberty blockers—in some cases without parental knowledge or consent while not being told the entire truth of what these drugs do or how permanent the damage is. They are not the party claiming that speech is violence and the American flag is a symbol of hate. They are not the party demonizing half the country or undermining parental rights and deeming any parent willing to stand up for their kids and their values “domestic terrorists.” They are not the party undermining women, refusing to define what a woman is and claiming that men can get pregnant. They are not the party demonizing men in general, but particularly white men. They are not the party that the majority of mainstream media supports and spins for. They are not the party undermining law enforcement and law and order making our country and many of our cities unsafe—the one job the government is supposed to see to! They are not the party undermining personal responsibility and personal accountability. And they are not the party that has undermined higher education and allowed colleges to devolve into centers of learning focused on coddling, social justice, indoctrinating and Marxifying it’s students. And then releasing them out into our supposed Democratic society and our institutions.

Now are they the party that stands stupid around Abortion—yes! But so are those Democrats who are demanding that abortion be allowed right up until birth. And were there a small group of zealots willing to storm into the capital over the election results, yes! But not until after months of destruction perpetrated by the side you see as so innocent.

So I am still not being told what I am missing. Cause that is what I see and what we can not afford to deny.

I hate to say this, as I have long admired Marianne for her spiritual awareness and beautiful presence. But this feels like a double standard and a whole lot of projection to me.

To pretend that the Democrats are any better--especially right now--than the Republicans is just plain disingenuous to me. The gentleman who broke into the Pelosi home was a homeless person well known for his drug addiction and mental health issues, as well as spouting off in regards to both sides. But our legacy media surely isn’t going to focus honestly on that.

And what about the plot to kill Bret Kavanough that was seen as no more than a quick blip in time by the legacy media? Or the Democratic politicians that actually encouraged people to go to these judges homes when that is against the law?

Then there is January 6th which the media continues to call an insurrection, while no one has been charged with insurrection. And what about the 9 months of “mostly peaceful protests” that saw billions of dollars worth of damage, saw many minority businesses destroyed and saw very few held responsible for their destructive actions against property and against other people--especially police officers?

And what about the Democrats that cried foul after their elections--Stacy Abrams, Hillary Clinton for example. And why does the media cry voter suppression when the number of people voting has only been increasing? Plus check out Georgia’s early voting tallies right now?

And no, requiring ID is not voter suppression. And if there are armed guards at voting sites in AZ, then they are there to protect the voting process, not to intimidate.

I am really disappointed in a Course student that I have so admired and who talks about not playing victim, not carrying guilt and not living in the past as well as about practicing acceptance, honesty, non-attack and forgiveness--but here on Substack is willing, just like Biden, to attack and demonize those millions of others on the other side.

And while I have made lists and asked in other comment sections in regards to other such articles to tell me what I am missing, no one, not even Marianne, is willing to say.

And I truly and sincerely do not get it. I just no longer see this current Democratic Party as caring about our Constitutional Republic or in Democracy in general. And now I have gone from being excited to see Marianne running back in 2020, to just being perplexed by her here. 🤷‍♀️

Today's chaos might be the result of our inattention to what has been happening for decades and more. People are inherently good as Anne Frank might have said, so while evil and hatred is so much in our faces, many of us pray endlessly for what we know we want, peace, love, justice, compassion and kindness that is there under the thin surface of the world of illusion. Thank you Marianne.
