Sending you a virtual hug. 😘 Please know I am praying for Steven Donziger and his family. 🙏🏻 …as well as calling our Representatives and emailing our Attorney General Merrick Garland to free him.

I remember I used to teach adult newcomers to Canada English as a Second Language.

One morning I walked into the classroom and wrote on the board;

Guess what I lost?

The students figured it out pretty quickly because they knew how much I relied on my voice.

I ended up saving a lot of energy by having them speak more with each other.

I’m sure something good will come of this Marianne🥰.

Keep quiet and keep the faith… we love you❤️❤️❤️.

In a different way this is how I felt when I was told I had breast cancer. That was definitely a slap on the wrist from the universe, I was shown a whole new spiritual annexe I had never known before that centred around the body identity, love, loss and mortality. It has been an uncomfortably rich and intense ride. I have heeded the warning but what I realised most prominently was that there is no doing deals with God. We get sent on our mission towards love in any manner of self-reflective ways to do his work and learn our lessons. Get well soon Marriane, your are a gift to our world and you and ACIM have kept me focused and strong as I navigate a turbulent ride.

I've been a dance professional all my life ~ my physical body, back, neck, hips, legs are always what go out on me ~ always telling me to sloooooooow down, scale back, or to STOP. Thank you for this

Thank you for sharing Marianne. The same thing recently happened to me. Laryngitis or a sore throat is usually the first sign that I have some work to do or that I need to take time for me. We all need to tame care of ourselves first ❤️ so we that we can be of assistance to others.

Oh Dear Marianne…take good care of you.

I find licorice root tea by traditional medicinals to be very soothing for the throat indeed. Especially with a teaspoon of local raw honey. ☺️

I once lost my voice after a one hour show I did with a small band. I had been having allergies that season and the antihistamines i had dried out the delicate environment that kept my vocal chords operating at par.

And so after the show, I could not even whisper thank you’s to the friends and folks who had come to hear me sing.

The time that followed was interesting to say the least. It did afford time for introspection and a new appreciation for the voice I took for granted.

As I began to regain my voice I reached out to a vocal coach I trusted. Gentle exercises and guidance were key to a healthy recovery, understanding the signs of fatigue, and learning how to navigate vocal wellness both during use and during rest.

My hope for you is that you might consider seeking out someone you trust help you to gently recover when you are ready, and give you the “tools” you will need to understand and manage your voice in a mindful, supportive way.

We all love you and wish you the best for your recovery.

Sending you much love and healing thoughts.

Namaste
