Watching Marianne's update on Donziger's plight, and the fact that he may actually face jail time is outrageous! I encourage folks to bombard Biden/Harris with letters via the White House website. I intend to draft and send one tomorrow a.m. I hope many of you do too! We are now what ol' Ross Perot's wife predicted long ago: a banana republic-style republic that we once ridiculed other nation-states as being! I think of Pink's song that should be the peoples anthem "What About Us"! What about hope, what about trust?

UPDATE: I got my letter off to the White House this a.m. and got a response that it was received at 11:03 this a.m. So I think this is a meaningful way to spread the word albeit the White House staff is swamped with multiple issues to address but since Biden supports adapting to and mitigating climate change I hope he soon hears about the situation at hand. I encourage others to write to the WH as well!

My first job out of journalism school was writing a consumer column that appeared on the front page of the "St. Paul Dispatch" daily newspaper every evening, called "Action Line". It was inspired by the work Nader did--always admirable. My job was fighting on behalf of the people facing misguided bills, housing wrongdoing, etc. It was a rewarding job. I still often think of Nader's Raiders and wish Americans would get back to that kind of activism again.
