I expect (what we call) a miracle. There are forces we can't see and don't understand. Love will find a way.

Sure. That's how you get those things done. The abolition of slavery, the introduction of the New Deal, winning WW2... All happened by miracle, not through the effort and sacrifice of millions of people. There are indeed forces we can't see and very few even try to understand. But they have nothing to do with social change...or cosy inanities, for that matter. As for the former, any new transformational leader - if they're going to emerge - will be an organizer not a "Savior".

Thank you, for everything we know you do, and for everything we will never know you do! May your grace and strength continue to know no bounds. Those that see you love you "to infinity and beyond;" may our ranks increase by the millions! Now!

My husband and I are grateful that you have such courage to run and stay in there. You are what this country needs so desperately. May more people WAKE UP and see you so that we can finally have leadership (with you as President) to begin to take us in a different direction than the same old way that's NOT working. I am expecting a miracle, too!

If you were my president, it would be a dream come true. Everything you say, reflects my values and my commitments. Everything. If it were you and any Republican, you’d have my vote.

But you know, as well as I do, the American people are not ready for the kinds of values and commitments you and I espouse.

The electorate need someone who is galvanizing to the Democrats and least offensive to the right. I’m not sure who that is. I am certain it is not you.

I love you and everything you stand for.

I do hope your campaign has been able to bring resources to some of the issues you and I value and are committed to. Hopefully your campaign brings a needed voice to American and worldwide leadership. I think it does but it’s not up to me. It’s up to the electorate and they are fickle. Hopefully your campaign will enable some of the issues you brought to the forefront to be truly addressed. What do you think?

Marianne,

Even though I will vote for Joe Biden I think someone needs to prepare the world for a workable future. I know if ideas like yours are not implemented the end of a functional America will come much sooner. You are introducing sane and sensible ideas into the collective and better ways to govern. You are preparing people to accept ideas that will send the country in a better direction to put it mildly. You are hauling in the best soil and planting better seeds in it. I believe in your ideas.

However every spare vote must go to a candidate who can win over this tyranny. Maybe that candidate will be you some day. Or someone you inspired. It will have to be because Earthlings are going to need more time. Your ideas implemented will at least give us that.

With all due respect - and I mean that, because your post was respectful to me - I submit that Joe Biden is not the candidate who can win over this tyranny. We will win in 2024 by offering people a fundamental alternative to the economic conditions that plague them now. Biden running on saying he wants to “finish the job” when a majority of people in this country live paycheck to paycheck is NOT the way we will win. We will win by offering people so so much more.

With the overwhelming chokehold the corporate monopolies have over the rest of us, and with many elected leaders likely benefiting from those interests, doesn’t some ground need to be laid before you can com in? Bernie came closest. He did so much to make us believe again. And he got through to so many, as you are doing. But you are being muffled. The word doesn’t get out. There is too much to lose to risk sending my vote off to die. Biden appears to be our only hope. Or Newsom, if it’s not too late. The fact that I agree with everything you stand for doesn’t translate to a vote in this next election. Not enough wattage as yet. How can that change without the backing of corporate media? The ones who have us living paycheck to paycheck. I don’t know what else to do.

"Offering"? It's more like making unsubstantiated promises. Because - "with all due respect" - you are not going to win in this way. You are asking for more donations here. For what? To finance your gambling in the DNC's casino? Your playing their rigged game that you know is IMPOSSIBLE to win? Is it supposed to manifest respect to your supporters? Or qualify as a "serious" approach?

My hope is that someday your vision in action will demonstrate to the world what is possible and what governance should look like.

Marianne, I'm glad to see you are getting on the ballots. Please stay in the race, no matter what, to the end. I have asked Leigh McGown of Politics Girl and Brian Tyler Cohen, both members of Wisdems, why they are not all over the idea of developing ideas, people, leaders, and political agendas via internal party debates. Not doing so controls the democratic process and puts Democrats in the same basket as those (Repubs) who gerrymander and suppress the vote. I will let you know their answers.

I supported your previous campaign, and I’m glad to have your voice in the mix this year. There are so, so many things that you are able to point out coming from a humanitarian perspective not a political perspective.

I really subscribe to your notion of the politics of love, and you are in prime position to point out the Swiss cheese Christianity that the GOP has crafted to manipulate and hoodwink their supporters.

They’ve embedded convenient holes where the Golden Rule and “Judge not, lest ye be judged” used to be. Please use these terms, and point out that they have cynically given permission for people to not be #ConsistentChristians.

There is one thing that I ask if you please. Please do not focus heavily on direct criticisms of President Biden and his platforms. He came up as a DLC Democrat, on the more corporate side of the party. Obama was too.

As a progressive with views very similar to yours, I am all too aware of Biden’s shortcomings in policies and actions. Making Merrick Garland AG was a horrible choice, meant to tick that bipartisan box. So many key facts could’ve remained in obscurity had he not brought on Jack Smith.

But I am a very practical progressive. Although I look forward to seeing you on the debate stage, there is a very strong likelihood that Biden will be the Democratic nominee. I know that you will eventually support him, but I see a little value in chipping away at his base before then.

I hope to meet you face-to-face again at Glide Memorial Church, and shake your hand as I did in Sacramento.
