Billions of people all over the world today are considering the idea that love works miracles That itself opens a portal of possibility that would not otherwise exist.
An idea grows stronger when it’s shared, and most of the time the ideas we share are ones of fear and separation and attack. The world as we know it is so dominated by fear that we are mentally bound by it, yet today we celebrate our release from fear through the power of love. In the presence of love, miracles occur naturally - “divine intercessions from a thought system beyond our own.” Just as light casts out darkness, love casts out fear.
Whether you relate to this love through the life of Jesus or not, Easter has great power. For the message of his life and death, like that of all the great religious figures, is embodied in the life of everyone. On whatever level we ponder the meaning of Easter - religious, spiritual, psychological or symbolic - it lies in the idea of a love that is greater than the world. For whom does this not have practical relevance? The world has its way with all of us; that’s the metaphysical meaning of crucifixion. Love, if we cleave to it, saves all of us from the effects of fear; that’s the miracle of resurrection.
May this be a day when love breaks apart whatever chains of fear might bind you. May all of us experience the dawn of a new beginning. If we can open our hearts just a fraction of a bit more than we were able to yesterday, then truly this is a blessed day.
Hallelujah and may this be so, for you and for all the world.
(I’ve done many Easter talks throughout the years; the video above was in New York a few years ago. Enjoy!)
For me the the big deal about Easter is the veil in the Temple was torn from top to bottom, Symbolizing that I now have direct access to my Creator without fear of condemnation or Death, only Unconditional Love.
Thank you for reminding us again what the real meaning of Easter is … It’s so easy to get consumed and hypnotized by the events of our lives that with the best of intentions … we forget … THANK YOU AGAIN …
