Sometimes people ask me how best to share the message of my campaign, given that the mainstream media isn’t exactly helping to get the word out! Funny about those CNN Town Halls for Trump, Haley and Christie, huh?
Be that as it may (as my mother used to say), I’ve come up with a way for anyone to be able to say “Well, if you want to know what she stands for, she’s online every Wednesday and Sunday nights at 6pm!”
Voila. The Firelight Chats.
The purpose of the Chats is to present the ideas and issues I care up, with the kinds of people I listen to and would listen to as president. The chat last night was posted on all my social media channels; Sunday nights we’ll do Ask Me Anything on tik tok.
My first Firelight Chat was a conversation with writers Jay Kogen and Billy Ray about the writers strike. The writers strike illustrates why the exploitation of workers is bad not only for a particular industry, but for our country as a whole. I hope you’ll listen and enjoy.
Next Wednesday, June 14th, my Firelight Chat will be a conversation about Israel and Palestine with Palestinian American political analyst Omar Baddar and J Street’s Josh Lockman. Make sure you’re there. I think it will be fascinating.
Again, my thanks for your support and encouragement as I wade through the turbulent waters of the campaign. May love prevail.
I thought it was bizarre and uncanny that CNN hasn’t (to my view) interviewed you or given you a Townhall as they have the Republicans. It either seems totally unfair and biased, or In my fantasies, they’re saving that for later where amplifying the sheer contrast from the other candidates and setting bars beyond their immediate grasp, you’re going to come in and knock their socks off with your depth, intelligence, connection with the people, clarity of the issues, vision for solutions, and inspiring worldview. In the meantime fireside chats here we come. 💗🙏
As always -- Thank you. You are the future. You are hope. I love you.
