Living for others, I find happiness
The key to happiness lies in getting over ourselves, involved in serving others and not just living for ourselves. A perception that focuses only on our separate needs as we define them will ultimately breed fear, and a perception that focuses on our oneness with others will ultimately breed peace.
Many struggle and fail to find peace within themselves, but don’t fully realize what their ”self” is. Identifying only with our separate self, we cannot find peace. That is why the ego is so dangerous: it is the belief that we are separate, when in fact we’re not.
You cannot find yourself by looking only to yourself, because in essence that is not where you are. The real you is an expanded self, literally one with the entire world. We find ourselves, and we find our inner peace, in unity with others. We cannot be happy unless we are wishing everyone the same.
Living for others, I find happiness.
