Let my heart be guided by mercy today. 

Today I remember that all people make mistakes. Let me not be harsh but magnanimous. May I show mercy to others as God has shown mercy to me.

All of us live in fear at times. May I be kinder today than I have been before, to those who fall as well as to those who rise. May all who meet me feel the love of a spiritual friend.

Those who have shown me mercy have been angels in my life, creating a space for me to rise when I have fallen down. May I be that to others, and pass along the mercy that has been shown at times to me. Amen.
