I see beyond guilt to innocence today.
Forgiveness is “selective remembering” - a conscious decision to focus on love and let the rest go. The ego is relentless, and it will suddenly and insidiously try to convince me of my brothers guilt. I will not listen to the voice of my ego today.
May the spirit of God deliver me today from the temptation to judge, to find fault, to criticize or to blame. May I be safe for my tendency to condemn. May my eyes be opened to the innocence in everyone.
Only when I see the light in others, can I remember the light in me. Only by extending peace to others, can I be at peace myself. Only through forgiveness can I be set free.
I see beyond guilt to innocence today.

Marianne, I enjoyed your telling of Ghandi''s view--so impressive! I realize only through practice can we find inner peace by relinquishing ourselves from the constantly selfish and loveless ego that causes most everyone's suffering! Thank you for teaching us to simply flip the mind's switch from ego to love! It does light our world. 💞
Forgiveness is a strong theme for me of late. I bring it together into self-compassion where I look at my trespasses and the trespasses against me. I look at them together intentionally, and speak forgiveness to myself and the other. I give what I wish to receive. It is love.
