Morning Meditation Day 65
We are spirit and thus we are more than the world.
We are spirit and thus we are more than the world.
It’s when we face the darkness squarely in the eye – in ourselves and in the world – that we begin at last to see the light. And that is the alchemy of personal transformation. In the mist of the deepest, darkest night, that is often when the faint shadow of our wings begins to appear. Only when we have faced the limits of what we can do, does the limitless of what God can do begin to dawn on us. It is the depth of the darkness now confronting our world that will reveal to us the magic of who we truly are. We are spirit and thus we are more than the world. When we remember that, the world itself will bow to our remembrance.
Dear God,
In the midst of my pain, give me comfort.
In the midst of my sorrow, give me peace.
In the midst of my brokenness, give me wings.
For You are the author of miracles
and I need one now.
Amen
We are spirit and thus we are more than the world.
*MORNING MEDITATIONS are from the book A YEAR OF MIRACLES: Daily Devotions and Reflections, copyright Marianne Williamson, HarperOne publisher.
Thank you so much for your comforting words. I love to be reminded/enlightened with anything related to the fact that we are SPIRIT. I remember realizing that when I was just little--how I am the Spirit more than the body and that it was kind of sad that others couldn't see who you really were just by looking at you. So I vowed to let my Spirit walk before me so people would see the Real Me...and I have been validated a lot in my life, that people do sense/see me!
I found this morning meditation contained a piece of foundation stone that needs to be wisely taught to the general people. You have given the intro./basics right here.
It is the spiritual realm, which we look towards and draw from that becomes part of our actions and interactions. A foundation stone that we are told isn't real, irrelevant, and useless in the real world. Religion has also played a huge part in making sacred text, holy matters, and ancient wisdom seem irrelevant and ineffective by making it about the institution. Religion is corruptible, and people need to build their foundation stone. Wisely said, "We are spirit and thus we are more than the world."
