Dear Friends,
When President Biden ordered a US withdrawal from Afghanistan, our team put together some interviews that I think shed light on the situation. The US War in Afghanistan was a spectacular failure that hopefully we can learn from.
Time and time again - from Vietnam to Iraq to Afghanistan - the US has made terrible military mistakes, leading to the deaths of thousands of Americans and sometimes millions of others. Yet our official response upon recognizing these errors has rarely been much more than, “Oops, we probably shouldn’t have done that.”
I wanted to dig deeper and know more. Hopefully, you will feel with the interviews and reflections I achieved at least a bit of that.
