HISTORY HELPS: Tonight's Livestream
Interview with Harvey Kaye about FDR and what he would do now
Airfare is climbing, gas prices are at an all-time high, and food costs are surging.
President Biden has proposed a gas tax holiday. What should government be doing to alleviate the pain that consumers are feeling?
It’s often said that history doesn’t repeat itself but it rhymes. Never is that truer than today on many social, political and economic fronts. Looking at those who faced similar challenges to ones we face now, to understand how they handled them in their time, can be deeply instructive.
Tonight I sit down with historian and author Harvey Kaye to hear his thoughts on our economic problems in the context of FDR’s New Deal principles. I’ve asked Harvey a question: if FDR were alive today, what would he do now?
Join us for our live conversation at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.
The interview will be streamed live on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and right here on Substack.
I grew up in a Depression farming family that took my Father to WW II. FDR was the hero we followed. My Father survived and brought my mother, brother and I from Indiana to California.
I have read books about Teddy,Franklin and Eleanor. Although all made mistakes during their lives, they were courageous and deeply cared for the health and wealth of ALL in America.
I am grateful to be a FDR follower!
Thank you Marianne for update! And all your Wonderful writing!🌺
