America is like an alcoholic family, in which no one is really saying what’s going on, the children are registering all the unprocessed realities but don’t know what to do with them, and anyone who speaks up and tells the truth is likely to be severely punished.
I think movies, books, art, music, etc., that depict what we want is critical to helping it manifest. When we depict and articulate what heaven on earth looks and feels like it allows our minds to expand and move into it more easily. A lot of media and art doubles down on the worst case scenario. I think that, by this time, we get it. But there is not a lot of depiction of the alternative. So I would call on artistic souls of all mediums to do that. And I think it translates into other fields, too. In your area of expertise, tell us what a joyful, enlightened world would look like. If you can see the goal on the horizon it can beckon and inspire, as well as helping to determine the best route to get there.

I resonate with all the points mentioned within this article, however I wonder about the elephant in the room - the younger generation immersed in social media, gaming - virtual worlds, escaping this reality. Its a growing business in the US, as mental health issues increase…there are so many factors, but essentially there’s a spiritual disconnect or lack of hope, or faith in a future, especially with climate change, the pandemic, political leadership & economic challenges. That’s something major to resolve IMO or there won’t be a future.
I Truly appreciate your honesty, and I am 100% in support of reparations for the lingering effects of slavery. This great wrong is one of America's clay feet, with genocide of the Indigenous being the other. The solutions for America are spiritual. Unfortunately the political 'sides' seem to be a tool to tear the people apart. The left gets extreme, with Antifa foolishness and offends the right, justifiably so. NEITHER party has the answer, in fact, they are the problem. There has to be a third way and I believe there is. How amazing it would be to turn this pyramid upside down.

The absolute hardest thing to do is to effect institutional change--the comparison to cancer is right, and now I'm wondering what the analogical solution is. In allopathic medicine, the solution is to introduce poison into the body, while in functional medicine, it's to treat the illness by removing the barriers to the body effecting its own natural processes to heal itself. The former often ends up killing the patient, and the latter involves lifestyle, diet, and other natural changes that had been previously absent. The pop culture response to our current political climate has been to introduce anger and violence, and that's exactly what perpetuates our dumb, simplistic view of our reality that you so poetically describe in P1. So American of us. Keep writing!
